Acumen has undertaken numerous consultancy assignments to provide support for good governance within agencies and organisations. This has included:
Acumen undertook an assignment to review enhance a full suite of HRM and Financial policies for a small agency within the WA Public Sector. The requirement for these revised policies arose from the desire to have up-to-date and standardised policies ready for loading onto a new intranet system. The assignment became much larger than initially proposed and Acumen was able to provide a framework for the HRM policies that created greater clarity as to how the policies related to each other and also how they related to the Strategic Human Resource Management Framework for the organisation. This assignment was undertaken and delivered within very tight timelines.
Acumen, and previously the Gent Consulting Group, has facilitated numerous Enterprise and Workplace Agreements. In more recent times work in this area has seen the facilitation of an Enterprise Agreement for Tranby College in Western Australia and for St Mary’s Orthodox Coptic College in Victoria.
Acumen has undertaken independent performance reviews for these two leading local government CEOs. We have worked closely with Mayors and Councillors together with City staff to complete an (360 degree) assessment and make recommendations to Council sub-committees for approval. Acumen has also worked with Council members to develop appropriate performance indicators and performance objectives for new agreements.
